MBA's Opens Doors Foundation Partners With Two California-Based Children's Hospitals

May 25, 2016
The MBA Opens Doors Foundation has announced that it has helped more than 5,000 families with mortgage and rental assistance since the launch of the Foundation’s Home Grant Program in 2012

The Mortgage Bankers Association’s Opens Doors Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers mortgage and rent payments to financially-strapped families with critically ill or injured children, is expanding its operations to California via new partnerships with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

The Foundation works directly with children’s hospitals, and is currently offering assistance in Foundation's ongoing relationship with children's hospitals in Washington, D.C.; Boston; Dallas-Fort Worth; Houston; and Denver. Its new California endeavors are made possible by an ongoing contribution from Arch Capital Group (U.S.) Inc., a parent company of Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Arch Mortgage Insurance Company.

"We cannot thank Arch Capital enough for its generous contribution and long-term commitment," said Debra Still, chairwoman of Opens Doors Foundation and CEO of Pulte Mortgage of Englewood, Colo. "The Opens Doors Foundation celebrates its fourth anniversary in October. We've established a strong partnership with our industry and built excellent relationships with hospital administrators, social workers and pediatricians who connect us with families in need of our help. We are now ready to grow into an organization that will serve families coast-to-coast."
