FAMP Wraps Successful Annual Convention in Orlando

Sep 15, 2016

Members of the mortgage community recently gathered in Orlando for a jam-packed Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals (FAMP) Annual Convention & Trade Show. Attendees packed the exhibit hall of the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, as mortgage professionals from around the state took part in four days of networking, golf, cocktail receptions, education and seminars.

Included among the festivities, Jon Turla was installed as FAMP president for 2016-2017, taking over the gavel of leadership from now immediate past president David W. Kane Jr. Joining President Turla on the FAMP Board are Vice Presdient Kimber White, Treasurer Darlene Kowalczyk, Secretary Marty Remillard, and Past President David Kane.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about a number of topics ranging from TRID updates from Jonathan Foxx and reps from Lenders Compliance Group, the latest from the FHA from Daniel Ellis from HUD, to social media compliance from Michael Wallace and AcuClix.

Members of the association were honored as well, as the association recognized its membership for their work on behalf of the association and accomplishments over the past year at the Happy Hour and Star-Spangled Celebration and Awards Dinner.
