Oct 03, 2017
The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has extended its 90-day foreclosure moratorium for FHA-insured homeowners impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria for an additional 90 days

Plaza Home Mortgage Raises $50,000-Plus for Red Cross Hurricane ReliefPlaza Home Mortgage associates have joined together to raise more than $15,000 in support for the families and individuals who lost so much to Hurricane Irma. Plaza matched the employee contribution, bringing the total to over $30,000. This donation comes after associates and Plaza raised in excess of $50,000 in the past month for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Plaza also implemented a Paid Time Off (PTO) donation program where associates could choose to donate a portion of their unused PTO directly from their paychecks to the hurricane relief efforts.  Currently, the total amount raised for Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma victims, including associates’ financial and PTO contributions and Plaza’s matching campaign, is over $80,000.

“We know that providing financial resources is one of the best ways we can help, and we wanted to make it as easy as possible for our associates to get involved in the relief efforts,” said Plaza Home Mortgage President Kevin Parra. “We are proud of the contribution made by everyone. That money helps the people that live in those devastated communities.”

The most recent amount raised by Plaza has been donated directly to the Red Cross and their Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
