Chase has announced the promotion of experienced mortgage banker Thasunda Brown Duckett to lead retail mortgage sales for its Northeast region.
Duckett, who joined Chase in 2004, is responsible for mortgage originations in eight states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
"Thasunda's experience, leadership and dedication will help us provide an excellent customer experience and build upon our success in the Northeast," said Pablo Sanchez, home lending senior executive at Chase.
Duckett has led Chase's Emerging Markets and Affordable Lending group, which serves primarily minorities and new immigrants, and the Bank Branch Strategy group, which provides mortgages and home equity loans to customers through Chase's 3,100 bank branches. Before joining Chase, she spent eight years at Fannie Mae.
She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., the National Black MBA Association, the National Association of Female Executives and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
The New Jersey resident and her husband, Richard Duckett, have a two-year-old daughter, and are expecting a second child in the spring.
