World Alliance Financial declares Senior Independent Living Month

World Alliance Financial Corporation, d/b/a Lender Lead Solutions and its education division, the Senior Lending Network, have established May 15 through June 15 as "Senior Independent Living Month." All mortgage originators affiliated with the Senior Lending Network are joining forces in a series of events to promote social responsibility and ethical treatment of seniors and discuss the positive benefits of reverse mortgages.

"So many seniors today are living independently, and the Senior Lending Network is committed to encouraging and assisting this group to continue doing so in a secure and stable living situation," said David Peskin, chief executive officer of World Alliance Financial and its Senior Lending Network educational program. "Senior Lending Network members are dedicated to understanding and interacting with the senior community in so many ways. We are proud of their efforts to celebrate and honor seniors."

By 2020, projections show a 63 percent increase in adults over age 65. Senior Lending Network's mission is to encourage and inform the public on best practices that ensure seniors a dignified and independent lifestyle, while remaining in the comfort of their homes.

On May 18, the company will kick off Senior Independent Living Month by announcing a joint partnership with National Association of Homebuilders and Rebuild Together to sponsor refurbishing a home for two seniors in New Orleans whose home was ruined during Hurricane Katrina.

Earlier in the month, Senior Lending Network partnered with the National Committee of Grandparents for Children's Rights (NCGCR) to sponsor transportation to the GrandRally on the lawn of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. on May 7, 2008. The event, which occurs every two years, is the largest national effort to advocate and lobby for substantial legislative change that protects grandparents and their grandchildren.

The Senior Lending Network believes the first step in assisting seniors who face financial challenges is to educate them on affordable alternatives. The Senior Lending Networks senior outreach efforts include supporting property tax reform, providing accurate information on the reverse mortgage product, and financing home refurbishments through community-oriented projects.
