MILA integrates DesertDocs for heightened web servicesmortgagepress.comMILA, DesertDocs, document management system, online MILA Inc. has partnered with Desert Document Services (DesertDocs) in order to provide online access to document systems and address regulatory requirements related to the secure exchange of closing documents. MILA moved its document management system from a paper-based process to an online process to further explore e-initiatives within the company. A team of MILA and DesertDocs engineers combined their technology to build an interface that will push data to the DesertDocs system. Once data has been integrated into the system, MILA is able to view and receive online documentation in real time. By combining the capabilities of MILA's AccessPoint system with the e-delivery features of DesertDocs, MILA's broker partners gain real-time access to closing documents prior to the customer's scheduled closing date. The MILA and DesertDocs alliance enables MILA to continue processing applications while simultaneously delivering closing document information through AccessPoint, MILA's loan management system. Upon doing so, these documents can be converted to PDF and encrypted at the point of scan, then routed to multiple locations, all while conforming to the various federal statutory electronic transmission requirements. Headquartered in Mountlake Terrace, Wash., MILA Inc. specializes in mortgage lending programs for borrowers with A-D credit. For more information, call (800) 332-MILA or visit www.mila.com.
