Nov 14, 2011

ServiceLink, a provider of end-to-end origination and default solutions, has announced that Donald Blanchard has joined the firm as general counsel. Blanchard joins ServiceLink with extensive experience in corporate, contract and real estate law where he has served as senior counsel to three national settlement service operations over the past 14 years. Prior to joining ServiceLink, Blanchard served as deputy general counsel for Lender Processing Services Inc. (LPS), where he focused on compliance, regulatory and government affairs. Before LPS, Don served as general counsel at Landsafe Inc., the settlement service affiliate of Countrywide Home Loans. Don also served as general counsel at LSI in Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the executive management group. Prior to entering the mortgage services industry, Don served as the general counsel of a mid-sized commercial bank in Connecticut. He was also a Section Chief at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he litigated and managed large asset resolutions for failed banks. Don began his legal career as a real estate lawyer in private practice, closing hundreds of residential and commercial real estate transactions. "We are pleased to have Don as part of our team," said Jeff Coury, president and chief executive officer of ServiceLink. "As the industry goes through these challenging times, we know that both ServiceLink and our customers will benefit from his extensive knowledge in the areas of regulation, compliance and government affairs."
