AMBA Education ReportEd LagmanEducation, AMBA Can you believe the response the Educational Committee had to the March Madness educational blitz that took place during the 6th through the 9th? Starting at the top of the state in Huntsville and ending at the bottom in Mobile, with stops in-between at Birmingham and Montgomery, we experienced the largest turnout in the state's history, which is something to be extremely proud of, with more than 120 students from 57 companies. Our hats off to the AMBA Educational Committee, who worked so hard in putting this program together. The team effort consisted of Committee Chair Ann Steadman of First Choice Funding and committee members Karen Bascom of The Mortgage Connection, Jean Chatham of First Title Corporation, Jason Counts of Old Stone Mortgage, Sherry Counts of InterFirst, Paul Todd of EquiPartners, Wayne Yates of Mortgage Finance Inc., Nollie Hathorn of PCFS, Janice Gilbreath of Sebring, Donna West of Commonwealth United, John Braswell of First Union, and Nancy Blankensopp of First Performance Mortgage. Our two MVP instructors were Patrick Nola of United Guaranty, who taught our Huntsville, Montgomery, and Mobile classes, and Sara Vasura from GE Capital Mortgage Insurance, who taught our Birmingham class. Many thanks to our class sponsors including: Seis, Inc. for the Huntsville class, Holloway Credit Bureau for the Montgomery class, GE Capital Mortgage Insurance for the Birmingham class, and Gulf Coast Credit for the Mobile class.
