The first awards were presented during 1st Metropolitan's annual convention this year in Atlanta. Qualifying representatives funded at least $10 million in purchase loans, and at least two-thirds of their business was from purchase mortgages. This year's recipients were Randall Brown of South Carolina, Ken Harmon of Illinois, Julie Hoang of Maryland, Patrick Kennedy of Florida, Mark Lawless of New Jersey, Maureen Mackey of California, Brian Smith of North Carolina, James Stojack of Florida and Anthony Vignalli of New Jersey. The company plans to continue recognizing its top originators with the American Dream Award at its annual convention held each spring.
