Mortgage Press columnist launches reverse training and consulting firmMortgagePress.comreverse mortgages, training and education The Mortgage Press columnist and reverse mortgage expert Atare E. Agbamu, CRMS has launched ThinkReverse LLC, a reverse mortgage training and consulting company to support the increased training and consulting needs of the emerging reverse mortgage industry. "ThinkReverse LLC is a response to a strong and persistent need for reverse mortgage training and consulting," Agbamu said. "Two out of every three responses I receive from readers across the country is about some need for training and consulting services. This is the next stage in a reverse mortgage lending awareness-raising drive that began almost four years ago with the inception of my column in The Mortgage Press. Today, much of the training in the emerging reverse mortgage industry is done by the two correspondent-sponsoring wholesalers in the nation. As the industry grows in the coming years, wholesalers' training capacity will need competent outside support." There is also a need to train and prepare forward mortgage originators who want to make a smooth transition to reverse mortgage lending to broaden their product offerings and position themselves for the huge senior market. One such lender is Lenexa, Kan.-based LeaderOne Financial Corporation. LeaderOne recently hired Agbamu to train its staff and advise its management in preparation of entering the reverse mortgage arena. ThinkReverse LLC trains and consults with mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, bankers, credit unions, financial advisors, mortgage-affiliated professionals and regulators. Its reverse-readiness training program includes an intense eight-hour, three-module training course that covers reverse mortgage essentials, reverse mortgage marketing and reverse mortgage origination. Agbamu is widely regarded as an emerging authority on reverse mortgages. In addition to marketing and originating reverse mortgages, he writes a regular monthly column, Forward on Reverse, published exclusively by The Mortgage Press Ltd. that has been raising awareness about the reverse mortgage market since 2002. As a state- and nationally-certified trainer, Agbamu has trained hundreds of mortgage professionals since 2000. Based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, ThinkReverse LLC is a reverse mortgage training and consulting company. For more information, call (612) 203-9434 or e-mail [email protected].
