Meet the executivesGary Simpson and Ralph LoVuolo Sr., CRMSCountrywide,America's Wholesale Lender Todd Dal Porto Todd Dal Porto is senior managing director of Countrywide Financial Corporation. He also serves as president of the wholesale lending division for its main subsidiary, Countrywide Home Loans Inc. Since the fall of 1998, Dal Porto has overseen all activities of the wholesale lending division. His areas of responsibility encompass oversight and strategic direction of sales, fulfillment, operations, finance and pricing, technology, risk management and human resource administration. Prior to taking on leadership of the division, Dal Porto served as division executive vice president of national production and was responsible for all origination and fulfillment activities for the division's nationwide branch network. He joined Countrywide in 1996 as regional vice president with responsibility for eight wholesale branches in southern California. His mortgage banking career started in 1985 with First Franklin Financial in San Jose, Calif., where he ultimately served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of mortgage lending. Dal Porto is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He previously served as an ex-officio member of the NAMB Board of Directors for six years and was recognized as their Affiliate of the Year in 1999. Dal Porto is licensed as a California real estate mortgage broker and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif. Brian Robinett Brian Robinett is managing director and chief operating officer for Countrywide's wholesale lending division. In this position, he oversees all aspects of the company's wholesale lending efforts for both prime and non-prime. Robinett most recently served as Countrywide's managing director of prime lending, where he oversaw the wholesale division's nationwide network of 52 local wholesale branches and a sales force of more than 500 account executives. Prior to joining Countrywide, he served as senior vice president and western regional manager for Residential Funding Corporation/Homecomings Financial Network and for First Franklin Financial, where he held both production and secondary marketing positions. Robinett is a member of NAMB and is currently serving in an ex-officio capacity on their Board of Directors. He has also previously served as statewide affiliate representative on the California Association of Mortgage Brokers Board of Directors. Robinett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Santa Clara University. Debbie Rosen Debbie L. Rosen is managing director of Countrywide's wholesale lending division's specialty lending group, which pairs exceptional customer service with a broad array of attractive and competitively priced loan products for borrowers across the entire credit spectrum. In this capacity, Rosen oversees the specialty lending group's production and operations, which are conducted through Countrywide's nationwide network of local wholesale branches and five regional processing centers. Before joining Countrywide, Rosen spent 11 of the previous 14 years with Associates First Capital Corporation, where she served as the firm's president of home equity services from 1997 until its merger with CitiGroup in 2001. During that time, Associates First Capital Corporation was the leading non-prime underwriter in the nation. She has also held management roles with Primerica Life Insurance Company and ITT Financial Services. Rosen is the current chair of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association and has served on the NAMB Board of Directors. In addition, she has been a member of the non-prime committee of the MBA. With more than 20 years of experience in consumer financial services from the branch level to senior executive, Rosen is recognized as a prominent advocate for the mortgage industry and the non-prime market, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Eric Spence Eric Spence is managing director and national sales manager for Countrywide's wholesale lending division. In this role, Spence is responsible for production and market share growth, revenue generation and sales management evolution for the wholesale lending division. A 20-year veteran of the mortgage lending industry, Spence most recently served as executive vice president, prime production for Countrywide's wholesale branch system. Prior to holding this position, Spence was executive vice president of production at Washington Mutual, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's retail, wholesale and correspondent lending divisions, as well as production at Long Beach Mortgage. Previously, he was senior vice president for Washington Mutual's wholesale lending division, where he was responsible for growing the wholesale broker channel and improving the company's wholesale market ranking. Spence held the position of senior vice president of wholesale lending for American Savings Bank, which was later acquired by Washington Mutual. He has also held wholesale management positions at SCS Mortgage and Loan America.
