ABC partners with the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist InstituteMortgagePress.comAmerican Brokers Conduit, Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist Institute, CMPS Live!, financial market and interest rate analysis, cash flow and debt analysis, investment property analysis, and mortgage and real estate taxation American Brokers Conduit (ABC), the wholesale division of American Home Mortgage Investment Corporation, has become the exclusive wholesale lender sponsor of the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist training seminars held by the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) Institute. Billed as three days of intensive high-level training for brokers, CMPS Live! events provide educational information geared toward increasing mortgage brokers financial knowledge to help them become Certified Mortgage Planning Specialists. Partnering with CMPS and becoming the exclusive sponsor for these events is part of our overall strategy to provide valuable mortgage and financial planning information to all our brokers, explained Lisa Schreiber, executive vice president of ABC. We are committed to raising the bar in the industry by helping our broker partners obtain the financial knowledge and expertise needed to advise their clients about managing the equity in their homes. A CMPS is a recognized expert in the area of mortgage planning, cash flow management and real estate equity managementall of the areas needed to help borrowers manage their mortgage as part of their overall financial plan. These specialists work with their clients to increase cash flow, manage their home equity, reduce debt and achieve their financial goals. The mission of CMPS is to help transform loan officers into Certified Mortgage Planning Specialists by integrating financial planning concepts into the mortgage process, said Gibran Nicholas, chairman and CEO of the CMPS Institute. The curriculum includes training in these areas, as well as in financial market and interest rate analysis, cash flow and debt analysis, investment property analysis, and mortgage and real estate taxation. With this type of training, we can help our broker partners advise their clients on how to build and conserve wealth, manage debt and achieve financial freedom. In short, to create customers for life, added Schreiber. The test-as-you-go format allows brokers to take exams in stages after each presentation. Attendees are graded on the exams and those who pass receive a CMPS certification, recognizing them as certified mortgage planning experts. Six of eight CMPS Live! events have already been held this year in various locations. The next scheduled training sessions will be held Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 16-18 in Boston at the Boston Marriott Quincy and Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 13-15 in Phoenix at the Renaissance Scottsdale Resort. To sign up for an upcoming event, go to www.cmpsinstitute.org/liveevent or call (888) 608-9800. CMPS is excited to partner with American Brokers Conduit because of ABCs commitment to raising mortgage industry standards of practice, professionalism and ethics through the financial knowledge training and certification offered by the CMPS Institute, Nicholas concluded.
