American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division hires new executive teamMortgagePress.comAmerican Home Mortgage, appointments, new hires American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division, the Correspondent Lending Division of American Home Mortgage Investment Corporation, has announced the hiring of six high-level account executives, significantly increasing the size of the division. This experienced team of account executives joined American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division from Washington Mutual and will be charged with expanding production volumes and providing best-in-class customer service in the same regions that they formerly headed. The new account executives and their respective regional offices are Steven Campbell, Columbia, S.C.; Molly Gross, Grosse Pointe, Mich.; Mary Niederhaus, Sacramento, Calif.; Mary O'Connell, Nashville; Ed Robinson, Philadelphia and J. Gordon Terry, Jacksonville, Fla. "We are extremely pleased to have this team of experienced mortgage professionals become part of the Correspondent Lending Division," said Rick Pishalski, executive vice president of American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division. "Our success in attracting this heavily recruited team was based on our innovative mortgage products, technology platform and our underwriting and secondary marketing capabilities. These account executives are all very talented veterans who bring with them both an impressive set of skills and a significant base of customers that they will be able to expand by leveraging our internal resources. We believe this group of professionals, who have a long history of working as a team, will have an immediate impact on our business." American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division was launched in July 2005 and reached $1 billion in production volume after only seven months. With the addition of these account executives, the division will now have 16 account executives and two operations centers, serving an expected 900-1,000 customers by the end of 2006. "American Home Mortgage's Correspondent [Lending] Division is aggressively moving to expand this channel with our goal of becoming a top 10 originator in the correspondent marketplace," Pishalski said. "Today, we are focused on building our brand by offering our lending partners a flexible product portfolio that will help them meet the needs of existing and potential clients and tools that generate operational efficiencies throughout the loan process." The following are brief descriptions of the new members of the American Home Mortgage Correspondent Lending Division. Thomas Adkins Jr., Senior Vice President: Most recently, Adkins served as senior vice president and Eastern region production manager of Washington Mutual Bank's Correspondent Lending Division. A magna cum laude graduate from Hampden-Sydney College with a bachelors degree in psychology and business, he has 24 years of experience in the residential mortgage banking industry. His primary responsibilities have centered on correspondent and broker sales, secondary marketing and operations. Steven Campbell, Vice President: Previously, Campbell was an account executive with Washington Mutual Bank's Correspondent Lending Division, serving the markets of Alabama, Kansas and Missouri, where he developed, maintained and cultivated more than 150 correspondent relationships. His broad-based mortgage experience encompasses 15 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Francis Marion College in Florence, S.C. Molly Gross, Vice President: Before joining American Home Mortgage, Gross was an account executive in Washington Mutual Bank's Correspondent Lending Division, with responsibility for serving the Michigan and Ohio markets. She began her mortgage banking career in 1990 after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Detroit. Mary Niederhaus, Vice President: Prior to joining American Home Mortgage, Niederhaus was a correspondent account executive with Washington Mutual Bank and, prior to that, Chase Home Finance's correspondent home equity unit in the Pacific Northwest. She will continue to serve this region alongside Dan Ferris, Master CMB, who was promoted to senior vice president and regional manager. Niederhaus began her mortgage career as a regional and divisional manager in 1990 with Norwest. She attended Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minn. Mary O'Connell, Vice President: O'Connell is a former account executive of the Correspondent Lending Division of Washington Mutual Bank, with responsibility for managing 160 customers across her region of Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Her correspondent sales experience spans 10 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in the area of finance and real estate from the University of Wisconsin. Ed Robinson, Vice President: Robinson was a senior account executive with Washington Mutual Bank, responsible for managing its Northeast correspondent lending region. He began his mortgage lending career in 1990 as a commercial lending officer with CoreStates Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. J. Gordon Terry, Vice President: Terry was a senior account executive with Washington Mutual Bank's Correspondent Lending Division, based in Jacksonville, Fla. For many years, he was also vice president and RAMP production manager for HomeSide Lending Inc., also in Jacksonville. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree and captained the Bulldogs football team in 1979. With the exception of Niederhaus, who will report to Senior Vice President Dan Ferris, Master CMB, the above team of account executives will report to Senior Vice President Thomas Adkins Jr., their senior leader at Washington Mutual before he also transitioned to American Home Mortgage.
