Senior Lending Network, a World Alliance Financial Corporation
program and an industry leader in reverse mortgages, held a press
conference and open house on Aug. 6 to celebrate the completion of
their new state-of-the-art offices at its headquarters in Melville,
N.Y. The event featured a welcome reception, tour of the facility
and a $5,000 donation to the Long
Island Works Coalition.
David Peskin, chief executive officer of Senior Lending Network,
provided an introduction to the event, speaking about the highly
educated, experienced and motivated workforce on Long Island and
how it has contributed to the success of the company. Honored guest
speakers included Congressman Steve Israel, Representative from the
2nd District of New York, Matt Crosson, president of the Long
Island Association, and Steven Stern, Suffolk County Legislator and
elder-care attorney. Additional speakers included two Senior
Lending Network employees who discussed living and working on Long
Island and their experiences at such a fast-growing company.
"At a time where the financial sector is struggling and many
mortgage companies have shut their doors, Senior Lending Network
continues to grow and thrive. As a leader in the reverse mortgage
industry, our business is contingent upon hiring the right people
for the job," said Peskin. "We believe the Long Island market
offers an abundance of talent in the financial services arena and I
am extremely proud to be an active member of the Long Island
community. We will continue to help people stay on Long Island by
creating new jobs and recruiting local talent."
"I congratulate Senior Lending Network on their expansion. When
many other companies are struggling, they continue to grow and
provide financial services to seniors," said Rep. Steve Israel.
Legislator Steven Stern echoed the congressman's sentiments
adding that reverse mortgages are an incredibly valuable financial
tool that more and more seniors are benefiting from each day.
"Senior Lending Network is able to connect to seniors on a personal
level allowing them the freedom to attain financial independence in
their golden years."
Peskin also presented a $5,000 donation on behalf of Senior
Lending Network to Cheryl Davidson, executive director of Long
Island Works Coalition. Long Island Works Coalition is an
organization that helps to prepare students and graduates for full
participation in the economic and social fabric of Long Island.
Matt Crosson, President of the Long Island Association,
acknowledged the Senior Lending Networks generosity and commitment
to Long Island. "Long Island Works Coalition is a perfect match for
Senior Lending Network. Both are working their hardest to keep
young people employed and living on Long Island. Senior Lending
Network made a decision that Long Island is a great place to be
both now and in the future. It's a place where young people, who
have grown up here, can start their own lives, careers and
families, and that is the message that we want all Long Islanders
to hear."
