IAMPEF becomes Mortgage Education FoundationMortgagePress.comIAMPEF, MEF, online courses, consumer education The Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals Educational Foundation (IAMPEF) announces that it has officially changed its name to the Mortgage Education Foundation (MEF) to reflect its expanding and diverse industry and consumer education offerings within all sectors of the mortgage and real estate finance industry. The MEF will offer industry education nationwide, while continuing to host consumer information programs in Illinois. The Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals remains the parent organization to the MEF. MEF courses are available either in a classroom setting and online and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements for industry professionals in many states including Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, South Carolina, Washington and Wisconsin. Other states will be added in the near future and a complete list will be available at www.mortgageeducationfoundation.com. Online courses are custom fit for business owners, loan originators, processors and underwriters. Along with serving industry professionals, the MEF will continue to share consumer information at local housing fairs in Illinois, including on October 18 at Olive Harvey College. As part of the housing fairs, attendees will have the opportunity for HUD-approved consumer counseling for first-time homebuyers, pre-purchase and Senate Bill 1167.
