The National Association of Mortgage Brokers returns to Las
Vegas, Nevada for the second annual NAMB/WEST regional conference
on Saturday, Nov. 15. NAMB/WEST is a four-day conference for NAMB
members and other mortgage industry professionals from around the
country. The Nov.15-18 conference takes place at the MGM Grand
Hotel & Casino on the vibrant Vegas Strip.
The Honorable Gary Miller (R-CA) is among the prominent speakers
scheduled to address NAMB/WEST attendees. He will speak at the
industry symposium luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 15. Basketball legend
Bill Walton will appear at the NAMBPAC reception on Monday, Nov.
17. The NAMBPAC event is open to NAMB members only.
NAMB/WEST events include an industry symposium;
business-building, leadership and networking sessions; education
and professional certification courses; and a tradeshow. Over 60
hours of continuing education is available on topics such as FHA
lending, reverse mortgages, commercial brokering, and credit
scoring. The "Let's Get Back to Basics!" Symposium on Saturday will
include a discussion of the impacts of the Home Valuation Code of
Conduct regulation (HVCC), a mortgage fraud prevention session, a
sales and negotiation presentation, and more. The CRMS/CMC
preparation workshop provides mortgage brokers a full-day of
preparation for NAMB's professional certification exams. The
exhibit hall is open Tuesday, giving conference attendees the
opportunity to network with nearly 100 suppliers to the mortgage
industry and explore valuable products and services for their
businesses, including NAMB member benefits and discounts. For the
