Bush administration announces flexibity for HOPE for Homeowners program

Proposed amendments to Regulation Z MortgagePress.comFederal Reserve, Regulation Z, HMDA, Mortgage Disclosure Improvement Act of 2008 The Federal Reserve has proposed amendments to Regulation Z to implement the requirements of the Mortgage Disclosure Improvement Act of 2008 (MDIA), which was enacted by Congress on July 30, 2008 and includes additional early disclosure requirements. The proposed rule only addresses the provisions of MDIA that become effective July 30, 2009. The comment period for the proposed rule is open until January 23, 2009. The Federal Reserve welcomes comments on the proposed amendments, identified by Docket No. R-1340, by any of the following methods: • Agency Web Site: www.federalreserve.gov.
