Green River Capital (GRC), a real estate-owned (REO) asset management and loss mitigation provider for mortgage servicers, investment firms and banking institutions, announced that its network of brokers has raised more than $27,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Salt Lake City. Each year, the Ronald McDonald House provides a "home-away-from-home" for more than 1,800 families with seriously ill or injured children while they receive treatment at local hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House was created to help ease some of the burden these families experience. There are currently 305 Ronald McDonald Houses in 52 countries and regions. The Salt Lake City location is the 100th to open in the U.S.
“We are deeply grateful to Green River Capital’s generous effort this holiday season to encourage its network of agents to donate more than $27,000 to help provide a home-away-from-home for families with a critically ill child,” said Carrie Romano, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area. “These gifts from GRC’s brokers cannot be wrapped with a bow, but are the most precious gifts of all for families experiencing one of life’s most heart wrenching challenges. Green River Capital and its team of agents are helping Ronald McDonald House Charities meet the growing needs of families coming to Salt Lake City to access the city’s world class pediatric medical care.”
Approximately 100 agents contributed to GRC’s efforts to raise money for the charity. The funds, which GRC collected in 60 days, will be used by the Ronald McDonald House to better accommodate the growing number of families using the organization’s facilities.
“Ronald McDonald House is a special charity to Green River Capital and our staff, who often bring their families to visit the house and volunteer,” said Chris West, president of Green River Capital. “The Ronald McDonald House provides incredible support for families, allowing them to remain close to their children while they are treated at local hospitals. We are proud of the immense generosity of our contributing agents who joined GRC in supporting this wonderful cause.”
