Gateway Mortgage Adds New Kansas Branch

Gateway Mortgage Group has expanded its presence in the Kansas market with its newest location in McPherson, Kan. Don Pennington will manage and lead the new retail branch and has nearly a decade of mortgage experience. Pennington began his career as a mortgage loan officer where he was recognized as the top loan officer for two years in a row before being promoted to branch manager. Pennington previously worked with Gateway and chose to work with the lender once again due to the organization’s commitment to community involvement combined with a balance of entrepreneurial opportunity and corporate support. The branch will serve all counties across Kansas. “As a member of the Gateway team, Don has helped lead and expand our footprint into new and existing markets, growing our presence in borrower communities,” said Kevin Stitt, president of Gateway Mortgage Group. “Our expansion in Kansas gives us the opportunity to continue providing high levels of service to home buyers and support for branch managers like Don, who serve an increasing number of customers.” Pennington serves his community as an ambassador for the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the McPherson Housing Committee, McPherson Board of Realtors, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masonic Lodge 172.
