Apr 30, 2014

The Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) has announced that Tonnie Wybensinger will join its team as the new vice president of Government Affairs for Investment Management. Wybensinger’s new role will focus heavily on guiding the policy and regulatory efforts for FSR’s investment management portfolio. Wybensinger most recently worked as the staff director for the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection under ranking member Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA). “As one of Washington’s top experts in investment management and public policy, Tonnie will be an important member of FSR’s team” said FSR CEO and President Tim Pawlenty. “As we significantly increase our advocacy in Washington on investment management issues, Tonnie’s unique experience working in both chambers of Congress will ensure FSR is a leading voice informing policymakers on smart and effective policies.” She previously served as Chief of Staff to House Financial Services Reps. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), Bill Posey (R-FL) and Tom Feeney (R-Fla.), as well as legislative director to then Rep. Pat Toomey (R-PA). Wybensinger is also a seasoned political strategist, having managed several high-profile House campaigns. She also served as the Director of Financial Policy at the Investment Company Institute. In 2012, Wybensinger was directly involved in two of The Hill’s “Top 10 2012 Lobbying Victories.”
