Supreme Lending Recognized as a "Best Place to Work"

The Austin branch of Supreme Lending has been named to the Austin Business Journal’s 2014 list of the “Best Places to Work” in Central Texas. Supreme Lending’s Austin branch was selected in the small business category, which is for organizations with 21 to 50 employees. This is the first year that the branch has achieved this prestigious distinction.
Austin Business Journal releases its Best Places to Work list annually. This year, the publication received 276 nominations, the highest number to date. Only 70 were selected for inclusion on the list. The Austin Business Journal uses a third party organization to help determine which companies are named to the list. Once the nomination period is closed, the outside firm contacts each nominated organization and confidentially surveys its employees on their feelings and experiences with regard to the company’s benefits, climate, employee engagement level and team atmosphere.
The Austin branch, which is also known as the McClellan branch, is managed by John McClellan, an 18-year housing industry veteran who has been consistently ranked by the Austin Business Journal as one of the top ten mortgage bankers in Central Texas. The branch’s employee-centric programs include regular employee outings such as karaoke and bowling nights.
“We have a very simple approach to company culture,” said John McClellan. “We respect each other, stay positive, work hard and have fun. We work very hard to foster an environment that people don’t merely tolerate, but rather, actually enjoy. We’re so pleased to have been named to this year’s list.”
"Our number one commitment at Supreme is associate satisfaction and establishing ourselves as the number one employer in every major marketplace we do business in,” said Rick Hogle, chief strategic officer of Supreme Lending. “We are exceptionally proud of John McClellan and his entire team for achieving this prestigious honor."
