GSF Mortgage has added Kevin Fuell as GSF's North Carolina branch manager, overseeing the newest addition in Greenville, N.C. Fuell is a graduate from Fairmont State University and Vance-Granville College with Associates Degrees in both business administration and electrical/ electronics technology. He also completed two courses through the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA): Processing Government and Conventional Loans.
Fuell always had in interest in real estate. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was a real estate investor. After taking a few mortgage courses, Fuell took a leap of faith and entered the mortgage industry.
Fuell stays involved with his local community by doing homebuyer workshops and helping non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Affordable Housing Loan Committee (AHLC), which approves loans for first-time homebuyers, downpayment assistance and elderly homeowner rehabilitation loans. The AHLC make recommendations to the City Council regarding the purchase of land to be used for affordable housing developments, creation and set up of loan pool mortgage agreements and making changes in funding allocations.
