FormFree Holdings Corporation has appointed John Sheppard president and COO. Sheppard, who has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the consumer goods and technology industries, will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the company and AccountChek, FormFree's proprietary flagship product that verifies a borrower's ability to pay back loans.
Sheppard’s previous roles include serving as president of several of Coca-Cola's largest international divisions and vice president of Coca-Cola International, where he led the explosive growth of the company and was responsible for more than $3 billion in acquisitions and joint ventures. More recently, Sheppard served as CEO of EveryWare Global, a consumer goods firm that he took public in 2013. He has also served as CEO and president of beverage company Cott Corp. and as an operating partner at Advent International, a $30 billion global private equity firm.
“We are thrilled to bring on a leader of John’s caliber, as his skills and experience leading organizations during periods of high growth and expansion are unparalleled,” said Brent Chandler, founder and CEO of FormFree. “In particular, John’s experience scaling businesses, raising capital and integrating new business lines will be of enormous benefit to us. We look forward to John leading our company as we enter an exciting new phase of growth and increasing market adoption of AccountChek.”
Used by mortgage lenders and other providers of consumer credit, AccountChek automates the verification of a borrower’s deposits and assets in the loan process by providing instant digital statements from more than 15,000 financial institutions, thereby removing the need for borrowers to submit paper copies of bank statements when applying for loans. AccountChek helps lenders eliminate fraud while complying with new mortgage ability-to-pay rules.
Sheppard’s appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for FormFree, which recently signed on a top three lender and several major financial institutions to use AccountChek. The company has also partnered with other leading direct, wholesale and correspondent lenders and has several key strategic relationships which provide thousands of lenders with access to its solutions. FormFree has also been working with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure acceptance of its innovative market-leading technology.
Recently, FormFree was the recipient of Mortgage Technology magazine’s 2013 Fix-It Award, as well as a category winner in HousingWire magazine’s 2014 HW TECH100 list of the most innovative technology companies in the housing industry and named a top innovation by the PROGRESS in Lending Association for transforming the method of verifying a borrower’s assets into a paperless process.
“I am excited and honored to be working with Brent and the entire FormFree team as we capitalize on our unique and patented solutions,” Sheppard said. “I look forward to helping to lead this company as we expand our market leadership position."
