LRES has named Alice Sorenson, formerly LRES’ chief investment officer (CIO), as executive vice president and management advisor. Her responsibilities will focus on corporate strategic planning, cultivating prospective leads and establishing new business opportunities. Previously, Sorenson served for two years as LRES’ CIO and four years as COO. “During my career, I have been fortunate to play a constructive role developing and executing operations management and investment strategies to enable LRES to grow and prosper,” said Sorenson. “Now, I look forward to utilizing my industry connections fostered over the years to build the new business pipeline while applying my industry knowledge toward corporate strategic planning as its executive vice president and management advisor.” Prior to joining LRES, Sorenson served as the senior manager of business development at a national accounting, tax and business advisory firm, where she helped grow the company’s mortgage banking business segment by adding several new clients and services to the company’s corporate portfolio. Prior to that, she served in executive leadership positions at financial organizations including Master Financial Inc., Ameriquest Mortgage Company, Bank of America and FarWest Savings. “Alice’s new role at LRES is a strategic decision for LRES as the company continues to evolve over time,” said Roger Beane, CEO of LRES. “Her industry knowledge and broad experience with large institutions is critical to LRES’ new phase of growth in the residential and commercial financial services industry.”
