Urban Lending Solutions Recognized as Top Black-Owned Business

Jul 25, 2014

Black Enterprise Magazine’s 2014 BE 100 list of the largest black-owned businesses in the United States, once again named Urban Lending Solutions (ULS), in the magazine’s Top 100 list. ULS, a provider of residential mortgage products and services, was listed 19th, with $168,602 million in revenue. “The key behind success is what you do with it. When I see ULS getting recognized in Black Enterprise Magazine, I’m very proud," said Chuck Sanders, founder and CEO of ULS. "I’m proud because the kids growing up in my neighborhood could say, ‘we can do that, too. We can be the owner of the next multi-million dollar company!’ I’m very proud of the jobs we’ve created in America and of Chuck Sanders’ Charities.” The BE 100 list measures companies based on employee growth and revenue, and ULS joins the ranks of the widely-admired companies that have made the BE 100 list this year, including Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Inc. and World Wide Technology Inc.  The BE 100 is one of the most respected measures of black-owned business performance in the U.S. A company must be at least 51 percent black-owned and fully operational for the previous calendar year to be eligible for inclusion on the BE 100 list. In addition, the company must manufacture or own the products it sells or provide industrial or consumer services.
