LenderLive's Erik Anderson Named CMLA President
Aug 07, 2014

LenderLive Network Inc. has announced that Erik Anderson, vice president of sales for GuardianDocs, will serve as president of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA). CMLA was founded in 1956 as the representative voice of mortgage lending in Colorado. Members of CMLA include residential and commercial mortgage banking companies, individual mortgage loan originators, mortgage brokers, wholesale lenders, commercial banks, credit unions, government agencies, non-profit organizations and companies that provide affiliated services to mortgage lenders. As a non-profit organization, the CMLA has been the "go-to" organization for Colorado mortgage lending, supporting its members, the mortgage industry and the general public with valuable programs, services and events designed to support education, representation and networking. Anderson is the youngest president chosen by the CMLA since its founding. As president of the board of directors, he will be responsible for providing long-term strategic decision-making and overseeing and ensuring the fiscal health of the association. Anderson will continue to support the finance, legislative, membership and forum committees, as well as growing the Mortgage Leadership Program, which he’s led for the past two years. His biggest challenge will be establishing the foundation for the five-year plan set forth by the Board of Governors, including the strategic initiatives of educational outreach, charitable community outreach and tangible member benefits. Anderson is an avid contributor to the mortgage industry. He has been actively involved in CMLA since 2009 and has been on the board of directors since 2011. He is a CMLA Mortgage Leadership Program graduate, a 2011 MBA Future Leaders Program graduate and was recently chosen as a 2014 HousingWire Rising Star. “Erik is an exceptional leader, but, more importantly, he has always been an active and enthusiastic participant in the things that matter to him,” said Jonathan Kunkle, president of GuardianDocs. “His involvement in CMLA is a great example. We’re extremely proud of Erik being selected to lead CMLA and feel they couldn’t have made a better choice. Under his watch, we can be sure to expect great things from this excellent organization.”
