The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has awarded Debra W. Still, CMB, with its Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award. The Award is presented in recognition of dedication and prominent service to MBA and the mortgage lending industry in a variety of capacities involving both legislative and regulatory activities.

“Deb’s continued hard work and dedication to the mortgage finance industry make her a clear choice for this award,” said Bill Cosgrove, Chairman of the MBA. “She has been one of our most passionate and driven members ever since she became a part of MBA. In addition to her tireless efforts advocating for our industry in Washington and across the country, Deb has taken the reins of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation as Chairman and ensured that organization will be able to provide aid to families in need long into the future. Her leadership of MBA’s Diversity Committee is moving the needle and making a difference when it comes to positioning the mortgage finance industry to serve an increasingly varied population of homebuyers. For all of these reasons, I am honored to present Deb Still with the Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award.”

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor an individual can receive from his or her fellow MBA members.  Nominees for the annual award must meet the following criteria:

►Be associated with an MBA member firm
►Compile a record of long, sustained and extraordinary service to MBA and the mortgage industry
►Have a strong reputation for ethical and professional conduct.

The Award was recently renamed to honor of former MBA Chairman, the late Andy Woodward.  Andy set an extraordinary example for his leadership abilities, especially with his involvement in the Council to Shape Change Report.

Still is president and chief executive officer of Pulte Financial Services, which includes Pulte Mortgage LLC, PGP Title and PCIC Insurance and employs 750 individuals throughout the U.S. Still is also President and CEO of Pulte Mortgage, a nationwide lender headquartered in Englewood, Colo., which has helped more than 400,000 homebuyers finance their new home purchases since 1972. Pulte Financial Services is a part of PulteGroup, America’s largest homebuilder with operations in 30 states and the District of Columbia. She is also Chairman of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation, MBA’s 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping families with a critically ill or injured child to keep their home, even in the face of significant medical bills.
