MGIC Adds Sean Dilweg as SVP of Government Relations

Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC), the principal subsidiary of MGIC Investment Corporation, has hired Sean Dilweg as senior vice president of government relations. In his newly created position, Dilweg will lead MGIC's Washington, D.C. government relations activities relating to housing policy to help shape the discussion of the issues impacting the private mortgage insurance (PMI) industry.
"I am very pleased to have Sean join the MGIC leadership team," said Patrick Sinks, MGIC's president and chief operating officer. "His background and unique experience make Sean well suited to lead our government relations efforts on the many housing policy issues we face."
Dilweg joins MGIC from CUNA Mutual Group where he most recently served as the president of CMG Mortgage Insurance Company. In addition to his mortgage insurance industry experience, Dilweg is the former Insurance Commissioner of Wisconsin and held various roles in government making him uniquely qualified for his new role at MGIC. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
