imortgage Promotes Darien Evans to EVP of Operations

imortgage, a division of loanDepot LLC, has announced the appointment of Darien Evans as executive vice president of operations for imortgage.

"Darien's promotion to executive vice president of operations reflects her deep knowledge of the mortgage industry and her extensive background in mortgage operations, legal and compliance. In this newly created role, Evans will provide leadership guidance and oversight to the processing, credit and risk, underwriting and closing/funding/post-closing functions at imortgage. Her primary objective will be to further the embodiment of imortgage's service-driven and customer-focused philosophies in support of the production team and business partners.

Evans joined imortgage in April 2013 as general counsel and chief compliance officer where she advised executive and senior management on legal issues while delivering risk assessment related to regulatory, corporate, real estate, employment, litigation, compliance and counter-party matters. Prior to joining imortgage, Evans served as general counsel and senior vice president at Caliber Funding LLC, where she served on the company's executive management team and directed the Legal/Compliance Department. She has also held associate and general legal counsel positions with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP, First Magnus Financial Corporation and Quarles & Brady.
