Jon Cohn Joins RealtyTrac as SVP of Data Products

Jan 22, 2015

RealtyTrac has announced that 30-plus year data industry veteran and product management innovation executive Jon Cohn has joined the company as senior vice president of data products. Jon will leverage RealtyTrac’s expansive datasets into products that will benefit various industry verticals. RealtyTrac recently entered the data licensing business with a nationwide property-level dataset of tax, deed and mortgage records for over 130 million parcels nationwide. This robust database is in addition to its proprietary foreclosure database of more than 20 million current and historical foreclosure records and local neighborhood and environmental data. Jon has been tasked with designing and building data-based products that will serve a multitude of verticals such as direct marketing, real estate, insurance, value added resellers and more.

Jon was previously with Acxiom Corporation for 16 years where most recently he served as director/group product leader. During his Acxiom career, he directed multiple product groups including List, Telephone, Identity/Risk Solutions, Insurance Fraud Mitigation, SMB/Broker Reseller channel management, Local Search and Data Compilation. Product innovations included Acxiom’s ListDirect platform, a self-service Web-based count/order list delivery system that delivers more than two billion records annually and launched Acxiom’s internet lead generation and scoring solution. He was very active in Acxiom’s Privacy/Compliance initiatives and data acquisition strategies.

“With the convergence of big data, analytics and multiple data sets in real estate and marketing industries, Jon adds a perfect blend of skills to our team and to this new role at RealtyTrac,” said Jamie Moyle, RealtyTrac's chief executive officer. “As we look to develop integrated products that offer a unique value proposition for our customers, Jon's experiences in database marketing, identity/fraud mitigation and new media applications will help us transform our robust database into industry-leading solutions for a broader customer base. We are pleased to have him on board.”

“The expansion of RealtyTrac’s tax, deed, mortgage, foreclosure and Homefacts neighborhood datasets will enable us to create unique products that will do even more to support our customers in their endeavors,” said Cohn. “We're in the midst of an exciting era in real estate and database marketing, and I look forward to working at RealtyTrac. We look to enable our partners with products that are the foundation to making smart business decisions.”
