Envoy Mortgage has announced its latest hiring, Michael Castanon, an executive with more than 20 years of mortgage and financial industry experience, as regional vice president of the Southwest region for Envoy Mortgage’s retail operation, which includes central and southern California and the state of Arizona. Based in Irvine, Calif., Castanon is responsible for managing and growing production volume, market share, loan officer headcount and branch locations within his region. Envoy’s Southwest region currently has California offices in Glendale, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, Carlsbad, and Rancho Bernardo, and Arizona offices in Phoenix and Tempe.

A native Californian, Castanon has spent his entire career in and around the mortgage industry, in roles from the capital markets to senior management of origination and operations with national mortgage banking firms. Most recently, he was senior vice president with PrimeLending for the Mountain West region, managing production from the Southwest into the Rockies and up to the Pacific Northwest.
