Allan Dick Joins WFG as VP and State Underwriter for Michigan
WFG National Title Insurance Company has named Allan G. Dick as vice president and Michigan state underwriter in its Midwest Agency Group. The former chief operating officer and Commercial Division manager for a large Detroit-based title agency, Dick’s 40-plus years of residential and commercial title insurance experience include having been a senior and Michigan state underwriter for three of the nation’s largest title insurance underwriters. He has been the national accounts Division Manager in Michigan for one of those underwriters, and he previously served as Michigan state agency manager for two major underwriters.
“There are few people in the Michigan title industry with as much knowledge and experience as Allan, and fewer still who have the kind of respect he’s garnered from his peers,” said Chuck Cain, executive vice president of Agency Operations, National and Central Regions. “Adding Allan to our team demonstrates WFG’s commitment to growth in the Michigan marketplace and our passion for adding the very best resources to our staff.”
A past president of the Michigan Land Title Association (MLTA), Allan has chaired the MLTA Education Committee for several years, and has been a frequent speaker on title law, underwriting and title insurance. He continues to be a contributor and has been a 20-plus year feature writer and former editor for the MLTA newsletter, The Title Examiner. Allan has been awarded the Robert J. Jay Award for distinguished service and outstanding leadership by the MLTA, and is one of only 13, who has been awarded the Mary C. Feindt Award for dedicated service and lifetime contributions to MLTA.
