Mortgage Network Adds Senior Loan Officer Michael Folkemer

Michael Folkemer has joined Mortgage Network Inc. as a senior loan officer in the company’s York, Pa. branch office, where he will be responsible for serving borrowers and homeowners throughout the York, Harrisburg and Lebanon areas. Folkemer brings to Mortgage Network nine years of mortgage banking experience in southeastern Pennsylvania. Most recently, the York native and York College graduate served as loan originator for Centric Bank.

“Mortgage Network continues to gain strength in Pennsylvania, and Michael is another fantastic addition,” said Kevin Downs, York branch manager. “Michael’s roots in the community and his tremendous knowledge of the local housing market will be of huge benefit to borrowers.”

“I am delighted to join Mortgage Network and look forward to continuing to southeast Pennsylvania residents with their home financing needs,” said Folkemer. “Mortgage Network has an extensive line of loan products and a high level of commitment to helping homebuyers, which are a great formula for success.”

Folkemer said the local housing market is picking up steam, with home sales and prices both increasing.

“However, the median home value in our area trails the statewide average, and interest rates are still very low, which is good news for first-time buyers,” Folkemer said. “Those thinking about getting into the market should start by meeting with an experienced mortgage professional, who can help them understand all their options.”
