RealtyTrac has announced it has hired real estate data licensing veteran Richard Lombardi as executive vice president and general manager, leading the company's expanding data and file licensing business.

In this newly created role, Lombardi will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for using the company’s data assets to expand on the exponential growth its data and file licensing business has experienced over the last 18 months. Lombardi, the former vice president of data solutions at CoreLogic, has more than 25 years of experience in data solutions, information services, data analytics and related businesses. In this new role, Lombardi will oversee the data sales, product development, database operations and database technology teams for RealtyTrac’s data solutions division. Brian Mushaney, current RealtyTrac EVP, who has played an instrumental role in launching and growing the company’s data licensing business since March 2014, will focus his efforts on leading the data licensing sales organization.

“That RealtyTrac has attracted an individual the caliber of Richard Lombardi, who has top-notch expertise and experience in the world of data licensing, is a testament to the strong data licensing business Brian Mushaney and his team have built from the ground up over the past 18 months and the immense upside opportunity that this company has going forward,” said Jamie Moyle, who will be leaving the position of RealtyTrac CEO effective Aug. 17 to become chairman of the innovation committee for the company’s board of directors. “During this important transition time for the company, I am glad to know the day-to-day operations of the company will be in good hands with Richard, our new CEO, Rob Barber, along with Brian and the rest of the remarkable management team we already have in place.”

At CoreLogic Lombardi was responsible for the company’s overall sales strategy and field engagement within the National Licensing Division and also oversaw sales support for the company’s bulk data fulfillment and reseller clients. Prior to his tenure at CoreLogic, Lombardi also held executive positions at Experian and Westcorp.

“RealtyTrac has the unique combination of a deep data pedigree and a fresh, flexible approach to bulk data licensing and data solutions that is extremely attractive to me,” Lombardi said. “What Brian and the rest of the amazing team at RealtyTrac have accomplished is astounding, and I’m looking forward to joining their efforts in building a rapid-growth and long-term-sustainable data solutions operation at RealtyTrac.”
