Veteran mortgage professional Scott Cohen has joined Mortgage Network Inc. as a loan officer in the company’s Waltham, Mass. branch office. In his new role, Cohen will be responsible for serving homebuyers and homeowners throughout the greater Boston area.

Cohen brings to Mortgage Network more than 10 years of mortgage banking experience in the Arlington, Mass. area. Most recently, he served as a loan originator with Prospect Mortgage. Cohen has been a resident of Arlington for 25 years and coaches little league baseball and middle school football.

“Experienced mortgage professionals like Scott are the reason why we have been so successful,” said Fred Allard, sales manager of Mortgage Network’s Waltham branch office. “Given Scott’s expertise, dedication to borrowers and strong roots in the local community, we are thrilled he is joining our team.”

“Mortgage Network is recognized in the industry for its customer service and excellent product mix, which are very important to today’s borrowers,” said Cohen. “I am eager to continue assisting my neighbors with their mortgage and refinancing needs. The Boston housing market has cooled lately but mortgage rates have remained low, which is leaving opportunities open for first-time buyers. However, finding the right mortgage can be challenging, which is why borrowers need a trusted mortgage expert to help sort out their options."
