REMN Wholesale to Host TRID Refresher Webinars

Sep 30, 2015

TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule (TRID) implementation is around the corner, yet many in the industry still feel unprepared for the changes that will take effect beginning Oct. 3. As a part of its continued commitment to a superior broker experience, REMN Wholesale will be holding multiple TRID-focused webinars to educate colleagues on the critical items they need to know regarding one of the most monumental regulatory changes to impact the lending industry in the last 30 years. The free Webinars will take place beginning on Thursday, Oct. 1, with multiple Webinars being held up until the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 6. Attendees must register online at www.REMNWholesale.com/TRID to receive log-in information prior to each Webinar’s start.

REMN’s TRID Webinars will focus on generating the Loan Estimate document, one of the most significant changes mortgage brokers will have to adapt to in October. Under the new regulations, the Loan Estimate, which will replace the Good Faith Estimate (GFE), will need to be delivered within three days of a lender receiving the borrower’s completed application. Many in the industry are anticipating the changes involved in generating the Loan Estimate will cause certain confusion within the broker channel.

“TRID is this decade’s Y2K for our industry and without a doubt, there will be some headaches when the official workday starts on Oct. 5," said Carl Markman, director of national sales for REMN Wholesale. "REMN Wholesale is fully prepared for the changes, but success in the housing industry takes a team effort and we want to make sure our colleagues nationwide are ready when TRID’s changes become official that Monday morning. Even if you’ve attended our TRID Webinars in the past, I’d encourage you to attend one of these refresher courses on what’s going to become the new normal for the mortgage world."

The dates and times for REMN Wholesale’s TRID Webinars are as follows:

►Thursday, 10/1 at 3:00 p.m. EST
Friday, 10/2 at 11:30 a.m. EST
Monday, 10/5 at 11:30 a.m. EST
Monday, 10/5 at 4:00 p.m. EST
Tuesday, 10/6 at 9:30 a.m. EST
Tuesday, 10/6 at 11:30 a.m. EST
Tuesday, 10/6 at 3:30 p.m. EST

In line with its ongoing education efforts, REMN Wholesale will also be continuing its monthly renovation lending Webinar series. Led by Damon Richardson, REMN Wholesale’s renovation lending specialist, the webinars focus on how mortgage brokers and loan originators can better promote and leverage one of the most powerful, yet underutilized, set of mortgage products on the market today.
