Hosting a recent Charity Fundraising and Golf Event at the Newton Country Club in Newton, N.J., mortgage lender Residential Home Funding’s RHF Foundation raised more than $50,000 for local children’s hospitals. Guests and donators included members of Residential Home Funding, partner and affiliate companies from across the mortgage, real estate, and finance industries, and other generous businesses from around Northern New Jersey. Their day at the beautiful Newton Country Club was filled with golfing, catered food, and fund raising games like raffles, a putting contest, and a 50/50 prize.
Gathering on a Thursday morning, attendees were offered a catered lunch before playing 18 holes of golf, some with additional competitions such as closest to the pin, straightest shot, and hole-in-one competitions (to win a free car!). After golfing, guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner selection prepared by Newton Country Club, a live auction, and prize basket giveaways. Donated items were also bid upon through a silent auction, including rare signed sports and music memorabilia, golfing packages, and high-end designer apparel.
More than $50,000 in proceeds from the price of admission, fundraising during the event, and other generous sources are being donated to the Newton Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wayne, N.J. Along with annual golfing fundraisers and other events, the RHF Foundation plans to continue supporting worthy causes through their donations and community service efforts.
