PRMG Promotes Karen Nelson to Underwriting Manager of the Correspondent Division

Paramount Residential Mortgage Group (PRMG) has announced the promotion of Karen Nelson to corporate underwriting manager of the Correspondent Division

Paramount Residential Mortgage Group (PRMG) has announced the promotion of Karen Nelson to corporate underwriting manager of the Correspondent Division. Reporting directly to Deborah Cheatham, national director of Correspondent Lending, VP, Nelson will have the primary responsibility of facilitating the efficient operational flow of the channel with a high-focus on underwriting processes.

“We are thrilled to promote Karen to this key position," said PRMG COO Robert Holliday. "Prior to her promotion, Karen worked out of our Phoenix fulfillment center. Therefore, we are confident that along with her prior years of industry experience and working closely with Debbie Cheatham, they will be able to identify and streamline the loan manufacturing process for our Correspondent partners.”

Over that last two years, PRMG has attributed a large part of their success in the Correspondent Channel to the fact that the company took a proactive approach early on in 2013, well in anticipation of the regulatory changes that took effect in January 2014. This helped position PRMG to build a robust and prosperous correspondent platform. More importantly, it provided the company adequate time to develop policies and procedures that are now in alignment with the current TRID regulations that aim to help mortgage broker’s transition to a banker.
