HomeUnion has announced that the company has hired Vivek Pendharkar as chief development officer

HomeUnion has announced that the company has hired Vivek Pendharkar as chief development officer where he will lead HomeUnion’s data science, product management and software development efforts to create innovative products and services that make SFR investing simpler, transparent and efficient for investors.

Pendharkar brings 20-plus years of management expertise to HomeUnion with experience at both Fortune 500 companies and venture-backed startups. Most recently, he served as an EIR with Artiman Ventures, a Venture Capital firm that is also an investor in HomeUnion. Prior to that he spent six years as president and CEO of VuCast Media Inc. He has served in leadership positions at Cypress Semiconductor, Intel and Hewlett Packard. In his new role he will report to Don Ganguly, CEO of HomeUnion.

“Vivek’s success with startup companies and record of leadership with large corporations is the type of balanced experience that we will use to help us scale up our platform while continuing to improve our customer experience,” said Ganguly.  “He will provide a seasoned voice as we expand our footprint in real estate markets across the country and continue to develop our real estate investment platform.”

Pendharkar is a graduate of BITS Pilani, India and holds advanced degrees from Virginia Tech and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
