NLIHC Names Diane Yentel as New Chief

The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) has named Diane Yentel as its new president and CEO, replacing the retiring Sheila Crowley.

 

Yentel is currently the vice president of public policy and government affairs of Enterprise Community Partners. She previously directed policy development for the public housing program at the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Public and Indian Housing, and senior domestic policy Advisor for Oxfam America.

 

Yentel, who will assume her new job in April, worked at NLIHC from 2005 to 2008 as a policy analyst, and gained prominence during this period for her work in advocating for an appropriate federal response to the devastation brought by Hurricane Katrina. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Texas.
