Janell Downing has been promoted to the role of senior vice president, agency manager of the Midwest Region by WFG National Title Insurance CompanyDowning succeeds Executive Vice President Charles Cain Esq., who previously oversaw the Midwest Region. Cain was recently named co-manager of the company’s national agency operation with EVP Gene Rebadow. Downing was previously agency sales and service representative in the Midwest region. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with title agencies throughout the Midwest region, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.

Downing has been with the company since 2011 and has over 30 years of title experience. Before joining WFG National Title, she worked 20 years with one of the industry’s largest underwriters. She has extensive experience on the agency side, and has held significant roles with audit, commercial and retail branch positions as well.  Downing serves on the membership committee for the Ohio Land Title Association, and will remain in the company’s Delaware, Ohio office.

“Janell is an obvious choice to oversee WFG’s continuing growth with agencies in the Midwest,” said Cain. “Our agents have come to know her as a tireless advocate on their behalf and a wellspring of resources and data. She understands that WFG will not and cannot succeed unless its agents succeed, and she demonstrates this to the independent agent on a daily basis.”
