Prize winner Phyllis Marcantonio's name was drawn on Oct. 26 and her prize was awarded at the Western Regional Mortgage Brokers Conference, held from Nov. 5-9 in Las Vegas. Phyllis received $10,000 in cash and an all-expense paid, three-day, two-night trip for two to Las Vegas. "This Sweepstakes was really a fresh promotion for the mortgage industry," said Mike Boggiano, Silver Hill Financial's vice president of sales. "The response we received from mortgage brokers was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to rolling out our next promotion to our growing network of loyal brokers." The contest began on July 9, with scratch-off tickets that were distributed to participating mortgage brokers. In order to receive a ticket, a broker had to either register at a trade show in which Silver Hill was an exhibitor, call Silver Hill Financial or submit a commercial real estate loan through Silver Hill's program during the sweepstakes. Each ticket featured 25 scratch-off boxes. Each ticket holder had to choose five boxes to scratch off. If the ticket recipient uncovered five Silver Hill logos, they were eligible to win a cash prize ranging from $1,000 to $1 million. By scratching off the prize-level box, the actual prize amount was revealed. All tickets that had three or four Silver Hill logos on it could be submitted into a random drawing for a chance to win $10,000 and the trip to Las Vegas. "I've really come to enjoy working with Silver Hill on my commercial loans ... their service and process is really equipped to make it easy for brokers," commented prize winner Phyllis Marcantonio. "But to receive $10,000 and a trip to Las Vegas is just icing on the cake."
