Tech bytesJohn AnthonySoftware tools, mortgage technology, office software Tips and tools from NAMB technology chair John Anthony Day-to-day techno babble made simple Welcome to a new National Association of Mortgage Brokers year, and with a new year comes new ideas & sort of. Actually, we will be applying a well-known and proven idea to a new area. Why? Because we know it helps. Here it is: Each month, we will take your questions on technology and do our best to answer them in this new column, so everyone may benefit. We know you are inundated by new and innovative ways to do this or that, while many of you do not know how to use BCC in Outlook, how to send your Point file as a PDF, or for that manner, what a PDF is good for. This column, we hope, will address the basics, with a tip or two thrown in monthly for the technology gurus out there as well. Send your questions to [email protected]. I am telling you now that I do not have all of the answers, but I will do my best to find them out and deliver them to you here. After all, isn't that something a national trade association should be doing for its members? We think so. Finally, the other thing you will find here is a note on new and exciting concepts that we will be rolling out over the 12 months that will help you use the tools that NAMB has made available to you. That's it. Nothing too fancy; just plain old, "You asked for it." If you haven't asked for it, maybe now is the time & we are listening. John Anthony is Technology Committee chair for the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. He may be reached at (717) 591-3278 or e-mail [email protected].
