As the Second Annual Georgia Mortgage Broker Holiday Networking
Party kicked off on Dec. 16, the J.W. Marriott Hotel Lenox in
Atlanta became home to more than 3,400 mortgage brokers. This
all-day event attracted brokers from across the Peach State, and
was co-hosted by the Georgia
Association of Mortgage Brokers and The Georgia Mortgage

The day started off with a series of afternoon classes. National
sales trainer Ron Vaimberg
offered expert advice on how to triple your purchase-based business
in 30 days, while Gary Hoyer of Warehouse One helped brokers
piece together the broker-to-banker puzzle. Art Ski Swiatkowski of
InterBay Funding LLC
introduced residential mortgage brokers to small commercial lending
and Robert Trahan of American
Brokers Conduit offered real-world solutions to real-world
problems concerning alt-A loans.
At 6:00 p.m., the doors opened to the Second Annual Georgia
Mortgage Brokers Holiday Networking Party. Lines to get in extended
throughout the entire registration area as more than 3,400
attendees came to meet and mingle with almost 100 exhibitors.
Between the platters of food, the IndyMac Bank and SouthStar Funding hospitality
suites and the Sexy Santas sponsored by the Capstone Institute, attendees had
a lot to be merry about. Members of the U.S. Marines were also on
hand to collect donations for Toys for Tots.
