More than 430,000 foreclosure filings in first quarter

Smith joins ABC with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate finance industry, including business-to-business relationship management, sales management, technology adoption and business development. Smith previously served as the vice president, national accounts at Countrywide Financial Corporation. She also served as director at Freddie Mac and was a key player in the launch of Loan Prospector on the Internet—an automated underwriting service for mortgage originators. Smith was first introduced to the mortgage broker community through her experience as membership director at the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. "Katrina's background in relationship management, technology adoption and program rollout, with an eye toward targeting top brokers and increasing broker production, is an exceptional fit for ABC's immediate and long-term objectives," states Lisa Schreiber, ABC executive vice president, wholesale.
