American Brokers Conduit partners with Calyx SoftwareMortgagePress.comMortgage origination software American Brokers Conduit (ABC), the wholesale division of American Home Mortgage Investment Corporation, and Calyx Software, makers of the award-winning Calyx Point loan origination and processing system, have announced an agreement to provide mortgage brokers with direct access to ABC through the Lenders in Point software application. This will allow users to exchange loan data quickly and easily, as well as benefit from the advantages of conducting seamless transactions from their desktop. The Lenders in Point connection was available as of Jan. 6, 2006. Lisa Schreiber, executive vice president of wholesale at American Brokers Conduit, explained, "A significant number of mortgage brokers choose to utilize Calyx Point as their primary loan origination system. American Brokers Conduit is committed to offering our mortgage broker partners the tools and resources they need to meet customers' needs and to assist them in building a more profitable and efficient business. Calyx's Lenders in Point will allow our mortgage broker partners to price, lock and close loans faster and easier than ever before." With Lenders in Point, users can process direct transactions with ABC, without ever leaving the Point application. Developed by mortgage professionals, Point provides a single location from which mortgage-based information is exchanged directly with the lender. According to Dennis Boggs, senior vice president of business development at Calyx Software, "We're excited to have ABC as a new Lender in Point. With our new 3.0 platform, ABC can offer features to brokers as they're ready to roll them out. They can read data for Point files to start with and return data and documents back to their brokers when they're ready, without the broker needing new software. The platform simply allows it. We'll be working closely with ABC to add even more functions for their brokers in the future releases of Lenders in Point." Brokers will have access to ABC's Web site and be able to review the company's comprehensive portfolio of products and services, specify loan parameters and receive vital ABC information—all with the click of a button. Eliminating the need to fax applications and materials, the Lenders in Point connection will allow ABC's brokers to receive loan decisions and supporting documents in minutes. "Providing ABC's mortgage broker partners with this innovative application expands ABC's services, which we are committed to enhancing on an ongoing basis. ABC understands that speed and efficiency in the loan process are crucial to a mortgage broker's success, and we are confident that our Lenders in Point partnership with Calyx Software will make available another important tool to help our mortgage broker partners build their business," added Schreiber.
