Mortgage Spirit, a Denver-based provider of revenue management
and loan search and pricing technologies for the mortgage industry,
named Michael Byrd as its new vice president of information
technology.
Byrd is responsible for all technical components of Mortgage
Spirit's suite of services and helping the company build a more
technology-focused culture. This includes managing existing
technology, coordinating the full development life cycle of new
releases and managing the overall integrity of the Mortgage Spirit
service system.
Also, Byrd is to spearhead the design and development of
Mortgage Spirit's software to ensure the pricing engine's loan

Prior to becoming the vice president of information technology,
Byrd worked on a part-time basis for Mortgage Spirit.
"Michael has extensive experience in both commercial art and
computer science and more than five years of experience designing
and developing Internet applications for a wide range of
clientele," said Joel Horn, president of Mortgage Spirit. "His
background and expertise further enable us to continuously improve
and simplify the loan origination process for mortgage
originators."
