Byrd is responsible for all technical components of Mortgage Spirit's suite of services and helping the company build a more technology-focused culture. This includes managing existing technology, coordinating the full development life cycle of new releases and managing the overall integrity of the Mortgage Spirit service system. Also, Byrd is to spearhead the design and development of Mortgage Spirit's software to ensure the pricing engine's loan products are constantly updated and comprehensible to the user base. He is in charge of breaking down the intricacy of the product and pricing process into a user-friendly software platform. Prior to becoming the vice president of information technology, Byrd worked on a part-time basis for Mortgage Spirit. "Michael has extensive experience in both commercial art and computer science and more than five years of experience designing and developing Internet applications for a wide range of clientele," said Joel Horn, president of Mortgage Spirit.
