Oshan's position marks the 25th new hire for Ameritrust in the past four months a 30 percent staff increase--and recruiting continues. In particular, David is an expert in financial strategy, has demonstrated the ability to build teams and share insights that create efficiencies and increase performance," says Ameritrust founder and CEO, John Owens. As CFO, Oshan is charged with overseeing budgeting processes, forecasting, analysis and financial reporting, and increasing credit lines for Ameritrust, one of the leading independent residential mortgage retailers in Charlotte. Oshan brings over 15 years of leadership in the areas of financial strategy, budget management, systems, and analysis to the position. Most recently, Oshan was responsible for financial analysis and budget management as vice president of financial planning and analysis at Equifirst Mortgage. Prior to Equifirst, Oshan was director of decision support at HSBC Decision One Mortgage. He holds an MBA from Baylor University, a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Massachusetts, and currently lives in Clover, S.C. with his wife.
