Donna Crosby Sloan has joined Atlanta-based
Morris|Hardwick|Schneider, one of the largest real estate closing
law firms in the country, as senior managing attorney. In her new
position, she will manage the firm's new General Litigation
Division, which will handle a variety of general civil practice
areas, including wills and probate issues, contract matters, small
business set-ups, LLCs, mediations and litigation cases.
"The establishment of our General Litigation Division is another
example of how M|H|S continues to expand its offerings to provide
clients with end-to-end real estate closing services," said Nat
Hardwick, M|H|S managing partner. "Bringing in Donna, a seasoned
attorney with 20 years experience in general and civil litigation,
will ensure that the new division operates efficiently from the
start."
Sloan has more than 20 years of legal experience and comes to
M|H|S from Blackburn, Sloan & Adair, the law firm she
co-founded in 1996. Prior to serving as partner in Blackburn, Sloan
and Adair, she was an attorney at McCalla, Raymer, Padrick, Cobb,
Nichols & Clark. Before this, she was in private practice for
six years. She is also a licensed real estate broker and has
maintained her license for 32 years.
In addition, Sloan started a non-profit foundation called
International Mission Connection (IMC), which serves more than 200
children in Honduras by providing them with food, clothing and
necessities. IMC has built a three-story mission complex and is
developing plans to build housing and a school.
"I'm excited to establish a new division at M|H|S, but more
importantly, I'm looking forward to making a difference," said
Sloan. "The new General Litigation Division is committed to
positively contributing to the real estate community and helping
individuals referred by the M|H|S family."
