Mortgage Lender Residential Finance Corporation named as finalist in American Business Awards

Jun 12, 2009

Residential Finance Corporation (RFC), a nationwide mortgage lender specializing in refinance, has been named as a finalist for this year’s Stevie Award for Sales Department of the Year in the 2009 American Business Awards. The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people worldwide. RFC President Michael Isaacs says, “We are honored that the Residential Finance sales team was selected as a Stevie Award finalist for Sales Department of the Year in the American Business Awards, an achievement that designates them as one of the nation’s best.” During 2008, while the mortgage industry foundered, RFC appointed veteran sales leader Obiora Egbuna as VP of sales, doubled sales capacity in its Tampa location, and more than doubled marketing and training expenditures. RFC bolstered in-house training and added quarterly sessions with mortgage industry author, consultant and trainer, Dale Vermillion. Egbuna achieved major gains during his first four months on the job, with sales productivity increasing 52-percent, and revenue-per-agent 21-percent. Enhanced training and decisive leadership helped boost sales-per-agent productivity by 51-percent, and revenue-per-agent by 38 percent. Overall, RFC experienced impressive and consistent gains in results for eight straight months. Isaacs adds, “The combination of dynamic sales leadership and ongoing training has given our dedicated sales team the sales skills and industry expertise to help RFC borrowers reach beyond simple mortgage refinancing by providing options that can give them real financial freedom by reducing rates and payments, shortening mortgage terms, gaining tax reduction strategies and finding additional ways to save money. As a result, many of our sales team members have achieved noteworthy performance increases over the past year. One sales agent, Erika Butler, was recognized amongst thousands from LendingTree’s network of lenders to win the Spirit of LendingTree Award, the highest honor that LendingTree gives to a single individual for their overall achievements.”   For more information, visit www.residentialfinance.com.
